The International Panel on Exiting Violence present its results at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon.

3 days of conferences and meetings

Rich discussions, roundtables, groups meetings, conferences around exiting violence with the members of the panel and with scholars from all over the world.


10 working groups

Topics related to exiting violence, from radicalisation to the reconstruction of the self, including justice and State building.
Presentation of the first results during the conferences.


120 researchers from different disciplines
Anthropology, sociology, psychiatry, psychology, history, political science…


35 nationalities
International outstanding scholars, from Europe (France, Spain, Italy…), the Middle East (Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq…), North Africa (Morroco, Egypt, Tunisia…), the Americas (USA, Canada, Colombia), and Asia (Singapour, Indonesia…)


1 report for exiting violence
The Beirut conferences are decisive as it precedes the official publication of the report (Autumn 2018). The working groups will make the very last modifications to their chapters.
