Jeová Torres Silva Júnior

Doctor in management science at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA, Brazil) with a doctoral internship at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts (Cnam, France). Between 2006 and 2013, Jeová Torres Silva Júnior was a permanent professor at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC, Brazil). Since 2013, he has been a professor and researcher at the Center for Applied Social Sciences of the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA, Brazil). Between 2016 and 2019, he was the vice-rector of planning and budget at this university. Associate professor of the Multidisciplinary Master in Social Development and Management (PDGS) at UFBA. Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Studies on Social Management (LIEGS / UFCA).

The subjects of his professional and academic experience over the past 20 years are the social and solidarity economy, the sharing economy, social management and territorial development. In particular, on the theme of the social and solidarity economy, he conducts his research and projects on solidarity finance, community banks and social currencies. He has published 17 articles in scientific journals, 12 books as author or organizer, 18 book chapters and 48 articles in annals or proceedings (conference or seminar) in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French.

He is recognized in his scientific community, being a member of the editorial board of certain scientific journals, reviewer of articles for several journals and speaker in international conferences, meetings and seminars in his fields of research. He is a founding member of the Brazilian Network of Researchers on Social Management (RGS) and also a member of the International EMES Network, of the International Association of Political Sciences (AISP), of the Brazilian Association of Higher Studies and Research in Management. (ANPAD) and the Brazilian branch of the International Center for Research and Information on the Public, Social and Cooperative Economy (CIRIEC-Brazil).
