The Foundation's bodies
The Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme is an independent french non-profit placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
The Management board implements the strategic orientations and takes the operational decisions affecting the operation and management of the institution. Appointed by the Supervisory board, the members of the Management board serve a four-year term, renewable once.
The Supervisory board appoints the members of the Management board, which directs the Foundation and acts as a control body. It has 15 members and is made up of 4 colleges.
Composed of 12 members, the Scientific council gives its opinion on scientific and international policy and consolidates its orientations. It also issues proposals and recommendations regarding the initiatives and projects implemented.
Composed of all department managers, the steering committee is responsible for the operational implementation of the institution's strategy.
Composed of five members, the Ethics committee issues opinions and recommendations on the definition and implementation of an ethics policy that respects the values and identity of the Foundation.
Finance and remuneration committee
The Finance and remuneration committee is responsible for preparing and implementing the Foundation's budget, and for transmitting all information concerning the budgetary and accounting situation to the Supervisory board.
