Incoming
For this call (closing 31 March 2013 at midnight), 29 fellowships in the social and human sciences are offered on a competitive basis.
These fellowships are offered by institutions and “laboratories of excellence” (Labex), partners of the programme. Applicant’s projects should match the areas of research of these institutions. - 1 fellowship in the social and human sciences, intended for a candidate graduated or affiliated to Princeton University, willing to join the laboratory of his choice in France (http://www.princeton.edu/international/partnerships/council/fellowships/http://www.princeton.edu/international/partnerships/council/fellowships/).
- 1 fellowship intended for a candidate issued of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and ex-USSR territories, willing to join the laboratory of his choice in France.
- 2 fellowships intended for candidates applying to the Collège d’Etudes Mondiales (CEM http://www.college-etudesmondiales.org/fr), on the following areas of research: Sociology of economy; anthropology of global health.
- 2 fellowship designed for a candidate applying to a laboratory part of the Labex DynamiTe (study of future territories; urbanization, sustainable development and new social dynamics - http://www.labex-hesam.eu/fr/dynamite-presentation), on the research areas of the Labex in the social and human sciences.
- 2 fellowships designed for candidates applying to a host laboratory of the Labex Hastec (History and anthropology of knowledge, technics and beliefs - www.labex-hesam.eu/fr/hastec) on the research areas of the Labex.
- 1 fellowship designed for a candidate applying to a host laboratory of the Labex Institut d’Etudes de la Cognition (IEC) of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (http://www.cognition.ens.fr/), on the research areas of the Labex in the social and human sciences.

- 1 fellowship designed for a candidate applying to a host laboratory of the IRSEM (Institut de recherche stratégique de l’Ecole militaire - ministère de la Défense - http://www.defense.gouv.fr/irsem), on the research areas of the Institut in the social and human sciences.

- 1 fellowship designed for a candidate applying to a host laboratory of the Labex Tepsis (Transformation of the state, politisation of societies, institution of the social -http://www.labex-hesam.eu/fr/unites), on the research areas of the Labex.
- 3 fellowships designed for candidates applying to a host laboratory of the Labex TransferS (cultural transferts, translations, interfaces - http://www.transfers.ens.fr/), on the research areas of the Labex.
Candidates apply to the FMSH and specify the host laboratory they wish to join in. In order to apply, they must obtain a letter from the director of the chosen laboratory demonstrating they will be received there during their stay in France.
Candidates can apply to up to two fellowships at the same time.
Outgoing
The FMSH offers Clemens Heller fellowships for researchers willing to do a research stay in Germany, and specific fellowships (in partnership) for those willing to go to another European country.
For the present call (closed 31 March 2013), 5 fellowships are offered:
- 3 fellowships for candidates applying to a host laboratory in Germany (FMSH-Thyssen-Clemens Heller fellowships), on the research area of their choice in the human and social sciences
- 2 fellowships for candidates applying to the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Italy (FBK - http://researchgrants.fbk.eu), on the research axes of the foundation in the social and human sciences.
