The FMSH’s Mellon program includes a long-term scientific follow-up. The goal is to help Mellon alumni integrate themselves into international scientific networks and to support the creation of new networks and co-operations. Special focus is put on activities carried out jointly by Mellon alumni of the various host institutes of advanced study participating in the “Andrew W. Mellon Foundation East-Central European Research Fellows Program.”
- Applications to request a return trip (1-3 months) must contain the same documents as the dossier required for Mellon/FMSH candidates (a CV, a list of publications, a personal research proposal, a letter of recommendation, and/or the applicant’s invitation to participate in a scientific meeting in France or elsewhere in the EU).
- Applications to request financial assistance for a specific scientific project must contain a project description, a list of participants, a tentative budget indicating the total of (co-)funding expected or requested as well as the applicant’s CV and a list of his/her publications.
Decisions to extend reinvitations or to allocate financial assistance are taken as rapidly as possible and notified directly to applicants.
