Under the 2006-2009 four-year contract between the FMSH and the MENESR, one specific agreement called the “Programme de Pluri-Formation” (PPF, or Multi-Topic Training Program) deals with developing the Audiovisual Research Archives (ARA) from the perspective of applying semiotic engineering to digital audiovisual knowledge bases.
One benefit of the PPF has been that it enabled ESCoM to develop a set of activities in applied research as well as conduct “living” experiments based on and for the benefit of the Audiovisual Research Archives’ (ARA) audiovisual corpus. More specifically, it relates to the three main components of the ARA program: boosting audiovisual production capacities(description in PDF format – 193.30 Ko); increasing the diffusion of and awareness about scientific heritage via digital technologies
(description in PDF format – 451.39 Ko); reinforcing the ARA's computer and technological capacities (description in PDF format – 334.71 Ko.). To learn more about this research, please see the offical site of ESCoM and/or the portal site of the Audiovisual Research Archives (ARA).
