Since its inception, the FMSH has forged close partnerships with universities and foundations in the United States, the first of which was the founding partnership with the Ford Foundation.
Among the FMSH’s current programs, the IPAS – International Program for Advanced Studies - is carried out in partnership with Columbia University. Moreover, many American researchers in the social sciences, be they invited as visiting researchers by the FMSH or by one of its partners, are housed at the Maison Suger.
