ILL (Interlibrary lending) is a way for libraries to share their material with other libraries.
ILL Request
The library can request books, dissertations, theses, or electronic documents for registered users. It can also request photocopies of journal articles stocked in French (except Paris and Parisian region) or foreign libraries.
The academic documentation system’s SUDOC catalogue can be used to find documents in all French university libraries and other French institutions of higher learning.
The service is free of charge with the exception of requests sent to some foreign libraries.
The time it takes to receive requests depends on the type of article.
Users are informed when their requests arrive by e-mail or telephone.
The lending library specifies the length of the loan, and this must always be respected.
In most cases, articles are lent for one month, but this may be extended with the agreement of the lending library.
Requested documents must be viewed on site.
How to make a request
• By using the "user account" rubric, "ILL" tab (users must enter username and password)
• By filling out a form available at the library’s reception.
