:: TECOG / COGTECH – Cognitive Technologies

Analyzing how diverse information systems interact with work and social environments calls for ergonomists, specialists of uses and user practices, product and services designers, and more generally, specialists in the social sciences.

In the context of growing digitization (“digital projection”) of societies and organizations, some new issues are arising for actors.  These require a joint approach between the sciences of man and of society (social and human sciences), and information and communication technologies (ICT).

The Cognitive Technologies Program (TECOG / COGTECH) aims to create a space where experts in these two fields can come together to review the status quo and engage in productive dialogue that will serve as a basis for future analyses.

COGTECH is developing its activities within the framework of an agreement with Electricité de France R&D and FMSH-DEVAR. It is extending and expanding on the previous program under the same name, and which has been led by the FMSH and EDF-R&D since 1998.
