INFOS PRATIQUES
The FMSH’s Computer Resources Department (CRD) is in charge of the roll-out and maintenance of the computer/IT tools the Foundation needs to achieve its objectives.
The CRD is entirely independent and has three main functions:
- Technical support
- Maintenance and roll-out of the network
- Installation of the Foundation’s information system
Composed of technicians and engineers, the CRD’s activities are divided into four units, all placed under the responsibility of Philippe Charles :
Technical Support
Assists users in technical/software management, and installs and maintains all computing equipment.
Network
As the Foundation’s internal network falls under the responsibility of the CRD, the department ensures its maintenance and development according to the FMSH’s evolving needs and new projects.
Information System
The CRD’s main objective for the 2006-2009 period is the roll-out of an improved information system. This includes developing new modern internet sites, installing cooperative work tools, and integrating its various facets according to standardized norms.
Management
The CRD serves the FMSH’s staff members by helping them chose their computer hardware and by helping them prepare price estimates.
The unit also offers ongoing technical support for hardware/software and other computer related matters.
